The chief electrician at the location where Alec Baldwin accidentally shot cameraman Halina Hutchins last month sues the actor and other crew members for the incident. Serge Svetnoy, a friend of Hutchins, claimed carelessness resulted in "serious emotional distress." He said the bullet missed by a hair's breadth.
Authorities are still investigating the October 21 incident in New Mexico.
Deputy Director Dave Halls told investigators that he did not check all the bullets in the gun according to court documents before handing them over to Baldwin. Mr. Halls reportedly invoked a "cold weapon" when he handed it to the actor, meaning he believes he is safe.

During a press conference on Wednesday, 63-year-old Svetnoi said that he left the gun unattended on the ground and warned those responsible days before the deadly shooting.
His lawsuit alleges that he "felt a strange and eerie sound of something like compressed air" when the gun was fired on the day of the shooting. In addition, he was exposed to "raw material from the explosion."
At the press conference, Mr. Svetnoi said he knelt to try to help Ms. Hutchins. OK, Mr. Neither Baldwin, 63, nor the other defendants have publicly commented on recent events.
Meanwhile, a lawyer for the film's shooter, Hannah Gutierrez-Reid, who is in charge of guns and ammunition on set, issued a statement Wednesday confirming that she doesn't know how the live-fire happened.
"We are asking for a full and thorough investigation of all the facts, including the live tour itself, how they ended up in the mannequin case, and who brought them there," attorney Jason Bowles said.
