Daniel David is the Chairman and CEO of DHD Holding and SOICO Group. And he's one of the main voices of the region advocating for sustainable development, financial growth, innovation and using technology for the virtual transformation of Africa.
Daniel David was born withinside Maputo, Mozambique. He started by working as a Physical Education teacher, but then he was seduced through South Africa's gold mines, like many different young people of his age, and left Mozambique. He works there as a miner and later came back to Mozambique.
Daniel David attended the Management course at UNISA RSA University and held a diploma in Business Administration and Management from Polytechnic University.
Daniel David joined the Television of Mozambique (TVM) as an administrative in 1989. After that, he was the Director of Cooperation and Training, Commercial Director and Marketing and later, appointed member of the Board of Directors of TVM. In 2000, while he was 34 years old, he founded Independent Communication Society (SOICO, Ltd), the first non-public media group in Mozambique to maintain a tv channel, a radio station, an everyday newspaper and the worldwide cable news channel STV Noticias.

He had a long expert career, nationally and internationally. Throughout his career, Daniel had a continental projection withinside the area of Social Communication. In 1998, he was elected Vice-President of URTNA (African Union of Broadcasting), and he had unique appearances in United Nations Forum on TV and Radio – New York; Common Wealth Broadcast Convention – Cape Town; SABA – Southern African Broadcast Association.
In September 2009, Daniel David was the only Mozambican invited to be a member of the "Clinton Global Initiative" meeting, the year after his biography seemed withinside the book "Africa Greatest Entrepreneurs", published through Moky Makura. In 2010, Daniel David participated in the Gala International Emmy Awards in New York. Four years later, he becomes President of the Mozambique-Portugal Chamber of Commerce.
In 2014 he released the Mozambican Economic and Social Forum - MOZEFO, inaugurating an area of inter-generational and intersectoral talk that did not exist withinside the country till then. The 2nd version of the Forum become held in 2017.
