According to court documents received from, Hunt, 58, filed a lawsuit through his attorneys Wednesday for assault and loss of profits against Los Angeles, Inc. BLS Limo Service in connection with a car accident.
On October 16, 2019, the Oscar-winning woman was sitting in the back seat of an SUV in the Mid-City Los Angeles neighborhood when her vehicle was a T-Bone after trying to cross an intersection.
Of the incident shows the jeep overturning before the collision.
In his lawsuit, Hunt seeks "compensation" against BLS, citing "physical loss, lost wages, hospital, and medical expenses, general damages, reduced earning capacity" and other damages - specifically "loss of profits.
The lawsuit also states that Hunt, as the plaintiff, "demands that the defendant's actions were negligent." When the BLS Limousine Company contacted on Friday, they said they had no comment on the matter. A Los Angeles police spokesperson previously confirmed to that the Twister star was hospitalized shortly after the accident.
An LAPD spokesman said Hunt was among several people rushed to a local hospital, but police investigated the human trafficking incident and found no crime. After being taken to the hospital and examined by a doctor, the actress was released that night. Hunt was filming the Mad About You reboot during the incident and returned to the limited series set later that month.
Following this incident, Hunt appeared in the 2020 film "The Night Clerk." He also starred in How It Ends, which comes out this July, and has a recurring role in the Starz series Blindspotting.
