Carlos Pellas Chamorro is a Nicaraguan businessman. The  , Pellas is Nicaragua's 1st billionaire.

He was born in Nicaragua, on January 10, 1953. His father name is Alfredo Pellas Chamorro and Carmen Chamorro Benard. He studied at Colegio Centro América.

Carlos Pellas Chamorro is chairman of Grupo Pellas, a holding company with investments in the financial, agro energy, tourism, technology, automotive, health, telecommunications, real estate, entertainment, and insurance industries. He is the board chairman at BAC Florida Bank and has previously served as head of the Nicaraguan Chamber of Industries. 

Pellas Chamorro has a BA (economics), an MA (food research), and an MBA from Stanford University. He has received many awards, including the Nicaraguan-American Chamber of Commerce's Business Excellence Award and the Stella Della Solidarietá Italiana's Order in Grande Ufficiale from the Italian Government.

The brainchild of a successful entrepreneur and native Nicaraguan, Don Carlos Pellas, Guacalito de la Isla fulfils a dream to do something meaningful for his homeland and, ultimately, for all of Central America by using the local's emerging sustainable tourism manufacturing as a method for balancing fragile economies within regional communities.

The Chambers of Commerce in Latin America, the USA named "Pellas Businessman of the Year" in 2005. Top directories and entrepreneurs from Central America have selected him in the last 5 years as one of the region's most admired businessmen. Pellas was honoured in April 2008 by the President of Italy with the Order of the Stella Della Solidarietá Italiana in Grande Ufficiale. In 2008, Pellas was owned by the Honorary Consul of Italy in Granada, Nicaragua. The American Nicaraguan Chamber of Commerce(AMCHAM) awarded him the Business Excellence Award-2012.
