Miodrag Kostic - Serbian businessman

Miodrag Kostic (born  1959) is a Serbian businessman. Kostic is the founder and owner of MK Group, the leading company in Serbia whose main activities are agriculture, meat production, sugar industry, and processing, tourism and banking. Today, the system Miodrag is heading has more than fourteen companies and employs 7,000 people. As of 2014, he is the second richest man in Serbia right after Miroslav Miskovic, with an average net worth of 520 million €.

Miodrag Kostić has built his business success and vision mostly through the business in the agrarian industry. Most of MK Group's operations nowadays relate to agricultural production, industry and trade in agricultural products, and the sugar industry. There are three sugar companies within the system, more than ten agricultural enterprises, warehouse complexes and trade that have been successfully restructured and consolidated into modern and highly profitable Serbian export-oriented companies.

Miodrag Kostić is a versatile person. He proved his abilities and knowledge by participating in the Management Boards' work of Serbia's largest and most fortunate banks. He is ready to share his vision of business capabilities and success with the community to create the best business environment in Serbia, and such principles guided him as a member of numerous international and domestic business associations such as the British Serbian Chamber of Commerce, the Serbian-Italian Business Council, AmCham and many others. Miodrag is a member of the business club "Privrednik", the Serbian Association of Managers, the General Assembly of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the Management Board. Simultaneously, he is the President of the Assembly of the Association for building the Temple of St. Sava in Vracar.

The company, headed by Miodrag Kostic, was proclaimed on several occasions as the most successful company in Serbia and the region.

He has joined the fight against the COVID19 virus by putting the hotel's accommodation capacities in Novi Sad at the Public Health Institute of Serbia "Dr Milan Batut", who are most in need at the moment.
