Vladimir Lisin - Owner of Russia's one of the largest steel company

Vladimir Sergeyevich Lisin (born 1956) is a Russian businessman. He is the chairman and highest shareholder of Novolipetsk (NLMK), one of Russia's four largest steel companies.
Started career in 1975 as an electrical fitter. Worked at Tulachermet, from assistant steelmaker to deputy shop manager. From 1986 worked in Kazakhstan as Deputy Chief Engineer and later as Deputy Chief 1st Executive Officer of the Karaganda Steel Plant. Member of Boards of Directors of several top Russian steel companies since 1993.
Graduate of Siberian Metallurgic Institute majored in Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Foundries. He then got a degree from the Higher School of Commerce with the Foreign Trade Academy in 1990. He got a degree from the Academy of National Economy, majored in 1992 in Economics and Management. PhD, Tech.; PhD, Ec.; Professor. Winner, USSR Council of Minister's prize for Science and Technology. Honorary Metallurgist of the RF. Knight of the Order of Honour. Knight of the Order of Alexander Nevsky. President of the International Shooting Sport Federation.
He is a keen shooting sports enthusiast. He 1st picked up a rifle when he was twelve years old and since then has taken shooting as gravely as his business. He is the chairperson of the European Shooting Confederation, the Russia Shooting Union and has been appointed vice-chairman of the Russian Olympic Committee.
He was put in as a member of the ISSF Executive Committee. He built one of Europe's largest shooting-range complexes in Lisya Nora. In 2018, Lisin was elected president of the International Shooting Sport Federation and succeeded Olegario Vazquez RaƱa, who has served as president since 1980.
His business interests, apart from steel, include: Transportation and logistics (with stakes in St Petersburg Sea Port, Tuapse Commercial Sea Port, North-Wes, tern Shipping Company, Volga Shipping Company), Utilities (Russian grid companies Federal Grid Company, Energy (stakes in Chermonorneftegaz and Severneftegaz) and Distribution Grid Company.
These predominantly Russian assets are handled via Fletcher Group Holdings.
As stated by Forbes, he was the richest man in Russia and the 48th richest in the world in 2013. As of 2020, he is the 45th richest person globally, with an estimated net worth of $23.6 billion.
In 2020 Vladimir Lisin donated about 123 million rubles to save a child with SMA and purchase the most expensive medication in Zolgensma.
