An HBO/HBO Max spokesperson confirmed the news.
"In life, like on-screen, Willie Garson is a loyal friend and a bright light to everyone in his universe," the statement said. "He created one from the most popular characters in the HBO lineup and has been a member from our family for nearly 25 years. We are deeply saddened to learn of his passing, and we extend our condolences to his family and loved ones."

Garson was spotted with Parker and Cantone on the New York set of the HBO reboot "And Just Like That..." earlier this year, angering the show in a June interview with U.S. Weekly.
