Xavier Espot Zamora is Andorran politician. He is a minister of justice and is presently the Prime Minister of Andorra since 16 May 2019.
Under the authorities of Antoni Marti, he was the minister of social affairs, justice and interior, succeeding Rosa Ferrer Obiols. He resigned on February 2019 as Minister to prepare his candidacy for the prime minister withinside the 2019 general election.
He finished his studies in Barcelona, graduating from the Faculty of Law at ESADE, at Ramon Llull University. He finished the Master's in Law at the same faculty, at the same time, graduating with the Degree in Humanities at the Ramon Llull University.
Between September 2004 and June 2008, he was secretary of the Batllia d'Andorra and, between July and December 2008, he was secretary of the Court of Justice of Andorra. In 2009, he worked as a bachelor in practice, the Court of Grande Instance of Toulouse and the Court of First Instance of Barcelona.
Prior to becoming a member of the Government, he served as an Andorran mayor in Civil Division number 2, withinside the minors section number 2 and withinside the former instruction section number 5.
In 2011, he entered the Government of Andorra, chaired through Antoni Martí Petit as Secretary of State for Justice and Home Affairs, under the ministerial mandate of Marc Vila Amigo.
In 2012 he have become Minister of Justice and Interior of the Principality of Andorra, including later, in January 2016, the portfolio of Social Affairs, Rosa Ferrer, succeeding the head of the Ministry.
May 16, 2019, is proclaimed as Head of Government through the General Council.
